PRAL Baton Rouge Awards

Dear Members,

PRAL-BR welcomes your nominations for our association awards. Nominate a deserving professional or colleague for one of the awards listed below. Click on the links for the awards to see a list of all previous recipients. 

You may make multiple nominations. Deadlines to submit nominations by email is December 31. Please consider nominating a worthy colleague or submitting your application for one of our awards.

Nominations will be accepted for the following awards:

First Circle Award

This award honors a professional with an effective and successful career in public relations. The First Circle Award is the most prestigious honor PRAL can bestow upon one of its members.

Criteria for nomination and selection:

  • Minimum of five years as a PRAL or PRSA member
  • Minimum of 15 years in public relations or a related field
  • Recognized for high standards of professional and personal integrity
  • Shows service to the profession through public service, volunteer work, and/or work with students, interns and young professionals

 

Communicator of the Year Award

Winners of the PRAL Communicator of the Year Award have demonstrated a high degree of skill in communicating effectively through the use of one or more of the mass media during the calendar year.

Criteria for nomination and selection:

  • The nominee should live and work within the state of Louisiana.
  • The nominee should have demonstrated a high degree of skill in communicating effectively through the use of one or more of the mass media during the current calendar year.
  • The effective communication was
    • Based on a high degree of knowledge in their field of endeavor;
    • Presented with candor, forthrightness and truthfulness; and
    • Resulted in the social, cultural or economic betterment of the region involved.

 

Practitioner of the Year Award

The PRAL’s Practitioner of the Year Award was created to recognize and honor public relations professionals who have distinguished themselves through the past year.

Criteria for nomination and selection:

  • Lives and works within the state of Louisiana
  • Has demonstrated professionalism and integrity in his/her work in the public relations field, either through recognition by awards, academic achievements, and community or civic involvement
  • Has demonstrated those skills, actions or achievements that are deserving of such special recognition during the current calendar year
  • May or may not be a member of PRAL

 

Member of the Year Award

PRAL’s Baton Rouge Chapter established this award to recognize an association member who has gone above and beyond to contribute to the chapter through his or her time and talents.

Only active PRAL members may submit nominations. To make a nomination, please click on the appropriate link below and submit a narrative describing your nominee, along with supporting materials that show your nominee meets the individual award criteria. Please submit all supporting documentation as an attachment in PDF format.
