It's the worst loss a parent can experience: the loss of a child. That exactly what Stephanie Payne experienced in the fall of 2016. While away at collge, her daughter suddenly became gravely ill. Stephanie and her husband, Tim, had to make choices no parent should ever have to make. And just when it appeared that young Savannah had a fighting chance, her health took a turn for the worst and she was gone. Stephanie says it was her faith that kept her going. It's a message she began sharing with church groups and volunteer organizations. Over time, Stephanie found that she could use her message to help others learn how to stay Alive to Thrive. Now that Stephanie is working to build that message as a brand, she's finding new communications challenges.

Join PRAL-BR for its March meeting to hear Stephanie Payne's story and the challenges she faces in communicating such a heartbreaking, but heartwarming, message.

Stephaine Payne

Alive 2 Thrive

From Stephanie:

Stephanie has enjoyed a comfortable life which includes being married to Tim and the mother to two daughters, Savannah and Isabella, while achieving fulfillment working in the field of school psychology for 25+ years. Her world changed during the fall of 2016 when her "comfortable life" ceased to exist in what seemed like an instant. Life events shattered her world.  These included her home flooding, her firstborn becoming critically ill, and her "family of four" transforming into a "family of three" within a three-month time span. In discovering her "new normal," God thrust her onto a new path. Leaving her career behind, she began speaking to those who may need inspiration, blogging about her healing process and what is helping her assimilate into her “new normal," working on writing a book, and coaching others who may feel “stuck” in their current situations, mindset, and relationships. Her desire is to help others learn they, too, can thrive despite their circumstances.
